Why didn't BB challenge?

Gronkoswki's obvious TD? It would have saved us 2 mins and that horrific fail of an onside kick attempt.

This was huge.

Meh. It wasn't that obvious. I'm sure he was counting on no more tackles within the field of play, but the killer was that Faulk couldn't get in on the next play.

I wanted to know why he didn't challenge the placement of the ball where Gronk reached well over the 1st down marker before going out of bounds.. That really hurt..

It wasn't all that obvious and in that situation, very few would instinctly make the decision to throw the flag and risk losing a timeout, too much going on in your head at that point. I've had my issues with in game awareness at times with this team but in this situation it's hard to imagine them being prepared to make a decision like that.

I believe they were waiting for the replay. It's tough because it wasn't too obvious. The problem was the onside.

We got the ball back and fumbled anyways

But Brady used all the time until there was zero secs to the next play. Im sure they had time to review upstairs and it clearly shows it was a TD.

BB said in his press conference that the replay wasn't available upstairs.

It was a screwup by the coaching staff. They should have challenged it immediately.

Exactly, and it would have added 30 seconds to the clock on the overturn.
