You agree with the poll and it is the "will of the American people"

You disagree with the poll and "people are morons"

RW did not post the poll, so it was a shot a WW83.

Noted. It's just that RW rolled his eyes at it, and your cynnical sentiment was the exact same as mine regarding the situational view righties have with polls.

PFIEL was speaking to the OP. If a poll says 2-1 want to win, he'll down play it, if it says 2-1 oppose, it's posted 5 times. Polls are what they are, which is pretty much useless. Well, not useless, but incredibly overvalued. A poll can give you some insight into what certain people are thinking, but it's not a barometer of what policy should be. Polls are almost always loaded. Thats why the methodology has to be looked at all times. Framing questions, or limiting answers, while simutaneously cooking the pool, is common place. That doesn't mean they don't have any value at all. It just means they need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Oh, and polls are almost always emotionally driven. Policy should never be based on emotion.

I wonder if Abe Lincoln would have led according to polls during the civil war when opinion turned against the war????
