Why Are We Suiting Up Only One TE?

There is more than one option.

1) Dan Grankowski is not even good enough to be an emergency backup.

2) Dan Grankowski is injured.

3) Mills isn't useful as a blocker, and we are better off activating a better Special Team against Buffalo.

4) Mills isn't ready to contribute.

5) The game plan against Buffalo wouldn't use more than one TE much in any case, so why bother activating a TE.

BB is taking some big ******* chances this game. He could end up looking like an idiot depending on what happens at S and TE.

Yes, if Grankowsi is injured, or stubs a toe, we will look very stupid for not suting up another tight end.

I get a weird deja vu feeling about this game....reminds me sort of the lead up to the Buffalo game when Milloy was cut that week ....

Given that a majority of the time the offense has had 2 TEs on the field, it would on the surface seem to be very strange to go into Buffalo with only ONE TE. This is especially curious when you think that they won't have Solder to play blocking TE either. BTW it was mentioned on Patriots all access, that Solder played 18 snaps last week at TE.

I think Dan Gronk would have been kept if he had been healthy. However with him out and the situation at Safety the Pats need to open a roster spot and add another body in the secondary/ Personally I would have preferred to see the CB get the spot but that's just me.

BB evidently believes that the 4th S will have a bigger impact on the team as a whole than bringing up Mills to fill Hernandez's role. It could mean that BB is more confident that Ocho is ready to contribute...or perhaps Price. Maybe this week is the week he'll be activated.

Perhaps we should have a pool on which OLman is going to be the OTHER TE, because we WILL use. one Also, who is backing up ANY of the OLmen.

BB has something special planned, something totally different. Of course I have no way of knowing that, still,,,, Looking forward to the Bills Vs Pats, can't wait.

Believe it or not, there are still some spread offense plays in the playbook that don't include 2+ TE.

I agree with you. The injuries are only exacerbating my worry. 1 TE, light across both lines and in the secondary. Of all weeks, we need the O to light 'em up. If we come out flat or turn the ball over it's going to be a long afternoon.
