Stanford OG DeGosto and OT Martin
Stanford ran almost exclusively behind these behemoths last night. DeGosto was an absolute BEAST in leading the sweeps and pulling. Martin was moving everybody in front of him with relative ease.
Martin looked good in pass protection as well. |
Re: Stanford OG DeGosto and OT Martin
Can't see us taking another OT hight with Vollmer and Solder on board. Martin projects as a top 20 pick right now. There's a few lower round kids that could be decent, Olson at Northern Illinois, Sowell at Ole Miss, and McCants out of UAB.

Re: Stanford OG DeGosto and OT Martin
I love Martin, but he is going to be battling with Matt Kalil for the top OT spot and possibly be a top 5 pick. If he were somehow available when the Pats picked I would take him, even with Vollmer and Solder.
I also really like DeCastro and he is another likely 1st rounder. NePatriots you would know better than me, I believe DeCastro was an OC in high school, do you think he could possibly move back to center in the NFL. I really like him as a RG, but if he could move back to C that would greatly increase his value. |

I seem to rememeber a team doing something similar at LOG a few years back and wound up with the best and most expensive OG in the NFL from the move. |

Who the #$%& is "DeGosto"???
God love ya, Jones, but it's the Title, and you barely spell his name half right?? :bricks: |
Re: Stanford OG DeGosto and OT Martin
David "Fidel" DeCastro. Love me some nicknames. Stanford plays some old school football. Knock the hell out of you. Then Luck starts throwing the ball. Run to set up the pass. More like the 70's NFL than the current day NFL.
