OG Kerry Brown
Didn't notice anyone talk about this yet so decided to post what I read.
Patriots | Team reportedly has K. Brown rated higher than other teams Tue, 8 Apr 2008 22:20:42 -0700 Josh Buchanan, of NFLDraftBible.com, reports the New England Patriots reportedly have Appalachian State OG Kerry Brown rated higher than any other team in the NFL. The Patriots could consider Brown with their fifth-round pick. Assuming that other teams have him 6th-7th, and the Steelers have him rated free agent. Don't know much about this guy, but just thought someone can get a scouting report so we can clerify why the Pats are rumored to have so much interest in him. |

Anyone fortunate enough to see the upset of Michigan knows he more than impressed with his physical skills vs. the larger school. In terms of his intangibles, read on: Scott Wright profile Quote:

Kerry Brown interview --- As a developmental prospect -- he fits the Pats profile. Draft him earlier than he's ranked, so we don't lose him. In addition, draft his teammate WR/KR Dexter Jackson too, so they don't get lonely. |
Re: OG Kerry Brown
It's funny, I had just added Brown to my check-out-further list for one sole reason: his 29.5" vertical. BB/SP always seem to go for the OLs with the big vertical numbers (Mankins was 31.5"!)
