Re: Who are the new cornerbacks?
This is what the Pats do so well. three vets at 29-30 yrs old.
Bryant looks like a starter who can cover. Sanders is a big corner and Webster looks like he's quick and tough, though small and erratic. No pressure going into the draft and they can bring a CB (or two) along slowly. Wouldn't it be great if the root canal of watching them try to find linebackers went this smooth? |
Re: Who are the new cornerbacks?
a linebacker at 7, a august veteran signing in august and we are golden

Re: Scouting reports on Bryant, L. Sanders, Webster
Good deal Pats1. I was obviously scraping for consistent reports.
I'd say an NFL starter, If needed, and two good situational players. |
Re: Scouting reports on Bryant, L. Sanders, Webster
Seems to me decent to good players can get very good on a great team, same as great players on very good teams are not so good when they go to bad teams.
If anything, these guys finally get a chance to play on a very good - if not great - team. I think, all in all, we have upgraded our defensive backfield - Capers coming aboard along with adding Bryant has sent it over the top as far as I am concerned. |

Re: Scouting reports on Bryant, L. Sanders, Webster
Bryant gives us alot of flexibility in the draft. He could start if needed, so we don't HAVE to reach for a CB. The way it is now, unless they think that Merriweather is a true option at CB, which he could be, they have to think CB in Rd 1, 2 or early 3.
