Drayton Florence signs with the Jags

Profootball Talk just posted that the Jags signed Drayton Florence. No terms listed but he's receiving $12 million in bonuses. Take another DB off the boards.

I'd be shocked if Florence was ever on our board to begin with. In addition to being an unspectacular player, he's also a grade A douche.

Asante has set the standard for cornerbacks. Any good young

cornerback will demand money like Florence. Randall Gay is supposedly

asking 15-25 million for 5 years. The Pats may be more interested

in a player like Jason Webster of Buffalo. He is 30 years old and was

injured in the first game last year. He is scheduled to come in for

an interview. He would command much less money.

I dont think he was ever on our board...I believe he was the bonehead who head-butted Graham in the Charger playoff game of '06.:p

Jason Webster is not worth the time nor the money. The Patriots do not need another injury prone cornerback as was the case with Duane Starks.
