What The Hell Is Going On With Randy Moss!
It is 3 hours until free agency begins the Pats can not seriously let this guy get to FA. Someone please encourage me!

We aren't allowed to re-sign him until FA begins.

Relax!! I seem to recall 3 SB's won without Mr. Moss. Would love to have him but he's not the be all and end all for this team.

Go to sleep. In the morning he'll be a Patriot.

And even if he isn't we still have Welker in the slot, which, imo, is more valuable as long as the offensive staff utilize him anyway. Don't get me wrong, I love Randy, but I can't see giving him so much that we're sacrificing the rest of the team...let's remember it was Wes that bailed him out more than Randy and with a healthy Watson, there's no reason one of those 2 can't eat up the middle of the field in one of two holes in most cover 2 zones. The outside guys can be JAGS (as we saw in 2006) with Welker and I think we're still the SB favs as long as we shore up the D. Plus the long, time killing Welker, Faulk, Watson, and whoever drives can be a lot more disconcerting to a D, and a lot more painful on their D, than a quick strike Moss 99 yarder. Maybe I'm just looking for a silver lining, but as has been said, we won 3 without him, and I still think we have better personnel on this team on offense for the most part than in at least 2 of those 3 SBs.

By league rules, the Pats aren't even ALLOWED to resign Moss before FA begins. Seriously, people....

Re: What The Hell Is Going On With Randy Moss!
How come not one single ESPN blowhard has even mentioned that the Pats aren't able to sign Moss until tomorrow?
They're all stirring the pot, saying the Pats had better get something done by tonight... blah, blah, blah. |
