Don Banks' Mock Draft

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...rt3/index.html

Right now, Don Banks has us swapping our #7 pick to Dallas (which would tkae McFadden) for the 22 and 28, which we would use to select two LB- Quentin Groves and Dan Connor. Of course, this mock draft also has Connor listed as being 6'2, 181 pounds, so I have a hard time believing that, given that oversight, anyone put too much thought into the whole deal. Obviously, this still leaves a gaping hole at CB, but that's what rounds 2-3 are for.

I think the trade is very much a possibilty. If not this opne, then maybe trading with the Bears for a swap to 14 and take Talib or Cromartie and their second rounder, then move up from the second round for Connor.

I'd be ok with another LB instead of connor... a poster here stated many times of connor's conduct while at PSU... not good. Plus he has a thin frame. We need somebody more busty.

I love the username btw. BRADYFTW!!!!!

I like trade but.....

we never take two LBs take one and a cb and would depend on best available

#22 & 28 would be super, I don't know if that adds up on the value chart though. I'd still do it.

But Groves won't be available at #22, and I don't think we have any interest in Connor. The next LBs that interest me are Crable & Goff, so I think I'd root for DRC (or any other elite CB that's available) & Branden Albert if we got 22 & 28.

Why don't you think Groves will be there at #22?

That was my feeling based on the general consensus...I'm no draft expert by any stretch, so def don't take my word for it! Just my feelings reading this board and other draft boards.

I'd say Dallas would have to kick in a 3rd rounder too, if they have one that is. Then you can use that 3rd round pick and #22 to move back up the 1st round if necessary.

No way in hell we pass up Rivers in exchange for the slow, overrated Dan Connor

It doesn't make any sense for Dallas to trade with us. If they're going to trade up, it would be at or before the Jets' pick at #6.

And the Bears' trade is only feasible if Ryan is still there at #7. And they could trade with the Jets also. I'm sure the Jets will be shopping their pick just as hard as the Pats will.
