Re: SBB'S 8/6 session notes
That was fun.
Sergio prolly had the hit of camp when he popped Riddley to keep him out the endzone. Hernandez had a stretch where he caught 3 tds in redone work. Though I called Vollmer for a hold on one of em. At one point the ol failed on three straight plays bringing out an f bomb from Scar. Anderson and Moore got would be sacks on the plays. Moore had another sack he was standing next to Brady stopped with his hand up when Brady lifted a deep one to Chad who made a nice catch. Moore might be my new Binky as he can rush. Anderson looks like a decent rusher too. Solder is a big boy and looks good to me. I thought I saw him at guard once but after practice I was wondering if I might have confused one of our massive TE for a tackle. Chung looked like the best tackler during one on one tackling drills. I think Price looked good again today. he looks like a smooth route runner. Gronk is a beast. I will add more if I think of more. |

Seem to be getting consistently good reports on Price. Glad to hear it. To those who've been fortunate enough to get to camp: How's his relationship seemed with Brady? We all know how important that is: If TB likes the way you read coverage and run routes, you're good; if not, you're hanging with Joey Galloway and Chad Jackson.

Re: SBB'S 8/6 session notes
I didn't stay the entire time but I did have small observations while I was there.
1. Ninck is much better at covering Gronk than Guyton is. I recall watching Guyton getting beat last weekend while this time I saw #50 hang with Gronk in fairly tight coverage. Gronk could still get passed to but at least the coverage was much better. 2. Price runs smoothly, which might have me fooled, because he looks a little slow to me. When I watch them running routes, Chad looks faster to me. Price had some struggles in ST when they had him return punts. Edelman is still our primary punt returner from the looks of things. Welker was cycled in as well and did fine. I mention this because Price could secure a roster spot if he manages to perform well in these scenarios. And for anybody thinking Edelman is in danger of being cut, it doesn't appear the case so long as he's our best punt returner. 3. Slater is still the best gunner on this team. At one point I watched him easily work around a double team to run down to where the returner was (one of the blockers was #32. I didn't see who the other one was). 4. Arrington looks to be our #3 corner. He isn't anything special out there, but he doesn't seem out of place when he's matched up against anybody. 5. Cunningham and Moore lined up as the starting ends plenty of times with #75 and 74 at tackle. Again, I didn't stay the whole time so I probably missed some quality 11 on 11 action. |

But I really like Arlington and I think he is better than your stating. |
