Re: Rivals.com great read on DB combine eval
Speaking strictly about cornerback prospects, 40 times are not a good indicator of pro success. In fact, it's best to ignore them completely. So these evals dropping players like Flowers based on a 40 time are good news. The agility drills and vertical jump are much more important.

Re: Rivals.com great read on DB combine eval
The guy that caught my eye in that report is:
SS Josh Barrett, Arizona St Barrett is a physical specimen who put on a show in Indianapolis. He ran a blazing 4.33 time at 223 pounds. He also did 17 reps and garnered attention after an injury-marred senior season. I mean whoa, a 223 lb strong safety that runs a 4.33?? That is freakish! Could we be looking at a possible Harrison backup candidate here in round 4? |

I was really surprised at Flowers's combine performance. I still think the guys a player and is all around talent. Looks like he is a late 2nd early 3rd prospect.
