Obama's Temper Tantrum

Great dinner theatre this evening. Anyone watching the local news was treated to Obama's little temper tantrum press conference. He did just about everything except stamp his feet.

What tremendous leadership by the crackhead in chief.

No Deal: Debt Ceiling Talks Between Obama, Boehner Break Down - The Note

Talks between House Speaker John Boehner and President Obama to raise the debt ceiling in conjunction with sweeping spending cuts and tax and entitlement reform have broken down. There will be no "grand bargain" to deal with the debt crisis and raise the debt ceiling.

Boehner's decision to abandon negotiations with President Obama puts an end to a deal that would have cut spending by up to $3.5 trillion over the next 10 years and increased tax revenues by close to a trillion dollars. But the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling must be raised by Aug. 2nd to avoid a government default.

"We have now run out of time," a visibly angry Obama declared at a hastily arranged press conference in the White House briefing room.

Are you referring to the clip in your link or something he said before and/or after that clip?

+1. I think it's the reaction of a man completely dumbfounded over the fact that a lot of charisma and great speaking ability does absolutely nothing to actually, like, you know, solve the economic problems we are experiencing.

I guess that community organizer experience did not prepare him for this. He said he could bring everyone together - he was supposed to be the great Uniter - Bush said that also - the more things change the more they stay the same. Bush also said he had experience bringing people together. Oh well - don't want to deflect - just wanted to vent a bit. :steamed::beatingcoming::steamed:

Re: Obama's Temper Tantrum

The house has already passed a resolution to raise the debt ceiling H Reid and the dems won't even allow a debate much less a vote to get members on the record.

Obama and the dem Senate have no plan they are willing to put on paper the pubs have already passed a plan.

This is why Obama is freaking out. The CNN poll shows that 66% like the ap, Cut and Balance plan.

What few sane republicans that are left in congress are being held hostage by the demented tea party followers.the average american is becoming skeptical of the right wings talk of tax cuts and austerity and sacrifice.because went the g.o.p. plan is scratched just below the surface,it is revealed that the tax cuts primarily are for the benefit of the high income people.

It is time for the bush tax cuts for those upper income people to be sunseted.

The president and the democrats need to stand firm on this issue.

When Bush started class warfare by reducing taxes for the rich the economy started into a downward spiral, coincidence?? Many think not.. the super rich do not agree..

They handed this poor clown The White House on a silver platter now we all have to pay.

I wonder if they have learned, will the fools do it again, probably.

No human walking this earth can "solve the economic problems we are experiencing"...

So if that's what Americans are looking for, I will guarantee them it won't happen.

If/When or economy turns around to true prosperity, it won't be due to a policy, but rather, balances being restored in the basic mechanisms of our economy.

"Bad debt" will still take years to get off the balance books of corp's (financial) as well as in private homes. That being said, Obama has showed no sign of being a "get it done" leader who can bring both sides together.

My grade so far for president Obama: C
