I'm sorry, but I think Harrison has to go

I had my doubts about him. But during the season I gave him a pass because he remained an effective blitzer. But last night he just looked slow, old and, dare I say, not too strong.

Consider he was on the wrong side of Giants 3 most important offensive plays:

- 45 yard toss to Boss. Harrison was slower than this 260 lb TE;
- "the catch" where even though he got a direct hit on the ball he couldn't dislodge it from between the receivers hand and helmet;
- the all out blitz on the TD to Plax, Harrison was stopped at the line by a Giants RB.

Rubbing guys into the ground after the play is over just looks stupid now. He reminds me of a Raider. In fact maybe we can work out a trade with them.

What do you think?

Come on. This is getting unbelievably stupid.

At this rate, Brady will need to go too.

no way man. brady whipped the 2nd to last pass 75 yards. that guy is anything but weak. and he's certainly not old. and he never was fast.

watching the replay of "the catch" harrison unknowingly helped that play happen. The ball wouldve hit the ground had Harrison's knees not been underneath Tyrees back. Tyree ended up bending instead of hitting the turf which wouldve made the ball hit the ground. not blaming harrison as he was trying to make a play, but just a bad break.

I don't know that he needs to go, but he probably needs to see a somewhat reduced role. He does look slow out there at times.

It would be nice for Merriweather to step up into the starting role next year and move Harrison into a part time role. But for that to happen, Merriweather needs to improve greatly; including learning how to catch a ball.

Beating this drum again, huh? I'll give you the Boss catch, but since it was Kevin Boss' ONLY catch, I will say Rodney and co did a pretty good job on him.

"The Catch" was exactly that, one of those miracle catches that every generation seems to get. Total flukey play from when they snapped all the way until it was over. It sucks that he got posterized on it, but he was right there. Not out of position or anything. 99% of the time that play doesn't happen. The 1% of the time is why we watch sports. To see amazing plays and underdogs fight to the top. It sucks that we weren't the underdog like we used to be, but next year we will have the Redemption theme.

As good as Rodney has been the last few yrs, he is no longer a fulltime player. The injuries and punishemnt he has dished out for years has caught up with him

One thing that left me completely dumbfounded this year was BB reluctance to mesh the younger players in 2nd half of the season. Screw the 16-0 season, it's all about winning SB's. That means you bring youth and experience.

The load Bru, Seau, Vrabel and Rodney had to carry caught up once more in CRITICAL drive of the season.

I'm sorry, but this "Bend but not break" philosophy is not going to work with this personnel anymore. Yes, they played their hearts out for most of the season, but in the end when it mattered, they could not deliver.

Why the heck are Pierre Woods, LeKevin Smith, and others playing in the SB, yet nowhere to be seen in 56-10, 52-7 blow outs over Bills and Redskins

As much as I respect BB, his arrogance to go undeafeated was the nail in the coffin of our team. Yes, OL choked, etc etc etc.........but to let Forest Gump drive down for winning TD beat the master Defensive mind with 2:42 left in SB is downright embarassing.

Looking at Giants passrush vs Pats pass rush (lack thereof) was just ridiculous

great question, lekevin in particular showed some talent. so why wasn't he afforded the luxury of playing time so he could develop during the season?
