Listening to my iPod and up comes Beautiful Day by U2, a song I always associate with SB 36. Sums it up for me I think.

I'm still saying that either "Say Hello [to the bad guy]" or "Success" by Jay-Z off American Gangster are the perfect theme songs for the 07 Pats.

These few simple words pretty much sums up the Patriots last few days:

"what do i think of success
it sucks, too much stress"

I got pumped up by playing "Desire" by U2 during that playoff run, mainly because that was the song FOX was using in their promos. Now every time I listen to that song, I think about the Patriots.

I associate Beautiful Day because went to a preseason game in 2002 and they showed highlights with that playing. Everytime I hear the song I see Ty Law returning that interception. OK, now I think I'm gonna cry.

Beautiful Day will always associate with the first SB, for me.

Showing my age maybe... but for a few days I've had "Hey Nineteen" by Steely dan bouncing around in the cranium...
