The Official: Countdown to Kickoff and I'm getting nervous thread
 

As I post this thread there is 82 hours left until the 6:18PM Sunday kickoff.

I feel confident in a Patriots win, however I can feel some anxiety which I know will keep building until the kickoff.

So, I made this thread for people to post if they are getting nervous as the kickof time gets nearer. Just post the time until kickoff and the reason you are starting to feel nervous.

Then maybe you fellow Patriots fans can help you with the anxiety that you are feeling.

It's the wait for me.. it's killing me.

Sunday will be brutal. The closer it gets, the worse I will be. I am confident the pats win and by more than 2 scores.

The wait is the only thing killing me... Once today is over, Fri is a blow off day for me at work...


But Im not nervous about the game, as the week has gone on, We are going to stomp the Giants...:rocker:

I'm anxious to get the game started! Time is going by toooooo slooooooow.
To quote Carly Simon: Anticipation is making me wait..it's keeping me waiting.

I think the anxiousness people are feeling is the fear that they may be becoming too overconfident. Normally, I agree with it. This week I say screw it. I'm going to sit here and let the overconfidence fill me up until all the doubt is washed away. Tempering your enthusiasim does you no good because, if they win, you wasted the whole week before the superbowl worrying yourself; and if they lose, well you will feel like crap regardless of what you said or thought this week. So I say stop worrying over every last pundit that has a negative thing to say about this game and start enjoying the hype about what could be the crowning achievment of one of the greatest teams of all time.

I am just anxious to eat the food we purchased. It looks great ... kills me to look at it every day and I have to wait until @4PM Sunday. :mad: :p :mad:

I've been nervous and anxious for a few days. Too much on the line not to be. However I am also getting more confident as the days go by which is helping. Seeing Brady practice, the Giants talk and hearing everyone (not just fans or local media) talk about how average and relatively slow the Giants' secondary is is what is boosting my confidence.

We're playing for "ever".

I agree with most of these posts. The wait is the worst part. The way I look at this game it this: If we are watching the best team ever, then they will go out and take care of business Sunday.

I think the "New" smiling BB everyone is talking about is proof that he is more excited about making history than nervous about failure.
