Juggling Robot...what's next?
Pretty impressive if you ask me. Between this and the walking robot army dog thing, as well as that sophisticated worm/virus they used on Iran, I really believe a SkyNet type deal could be more than Hollywood fodder.

What's more impressive, I was watching the latest installment of the Zietgiest movies, and they showcased a 3d printer, that is capable of printing 100% of all the parts it needs to create another 3d printer.
Combine a 3d printer, with a machine which can assemble the 3d printer, and you have a machine that can self replicate itself. Add in some AI, and you have all the makings of a machine which can replicate itself, while attempting to make improvements. |
Re: Juggling Robot...what's next?
It is pretty amazing stuff when you consider where technology will be 10 or 20+ years from now. I saw a kid using a robotic arm on some news report a few weeks ago. He was tying his shoes, picking up cups, and doing all kinds of things that required genuine feel and dexterity (sp?). It was amazing. I wonder if I can find that clip. Eventually we will have legitimate robots functioning like human beings. Probably in my lifetime should i reach old age.

When we were kids, imagining the future...who of us could've ever dreamed a robot would be able to juggle? These are truly wonderful times. I have an empty feeling in my stomach for The Flying Karamazov Brothers, YouTube - ‪The Flying Karamazov Brothers‬‏ and other famous jugglers who will soon be looking for work. |
