Name me 2 Giants who could start for the Pats

Seriously. Look at their roster people. I am not a HOMER by any stretch of the imagination(that's why I'm hated on this board :D ), but I am having a hard time making a case for ANYONE on the Giants that could start for the Patriots. I mean, you MIGHT be able to convince me on Strahan and Burress, but that is it. I mean, who else? Osi Umenyiora? Maybe, but I still will take Ty Warren or Richard Seymour. That's it. That is why I am having a hard time taking this Giants team serious. They just lack that BIG TIME TALENT that I think is needed to knock off this 2007 Pats team. I think a team needs SUPERHUMAN efforts by a few great players to not just stay close, but to actually WIN the game. Who on the GIANTS is a great player? Brandon Jacobs? No. Solid, not great. Eli Manning? Puhleaze. I'm sorry, but I think this game is a BAD MATCHUP for the Gmen. People think that the Giants will benefit from having already played us. I beg to differ. I think the Patriots will benefit far more from having already played the Giants, because now they know what they can and can't do against the Gmen and they have the superior talent and coaching to make the proper adjusments going into a second meeting. Having played the Pats so tough last time around may actually hurt the Giants, because they may come into this game too overconfident and think that it will be easier the 2nd time around. I just think this game has all the makings of an absolute BLOWOUT once it gets into the 2nd half.

name me two players on the Patriots 2001 squad that could have gotten a starting role on the 2001 Rams squad. in 2001.

whenever anyone reads a post such as this, us readers try very hard to find a contrarian point of view and think of more than 2 players that could/would start for the Patriots, but I don't can't think of anyone else who would start either.

You make a good point, but I would like to pose a question to you.

I don't pose this question in an attempt to downgrade your piont, but I am really curious of your answer.

How many 2001 Patriots would have been starting for the 2001 Rams?

Willie McGinest. Ty Law. Lawyer Milloy. Tedy Bruschi. Mike Vrabel. Richard Seymour. You could make a case for ALL of those players that year. Tom Brady wasn't ready at that point in time so scratch him. The Pats also had the edge in coaching and special teams that year. What edge do the Giants have in ANYTHING? Not special teams. Not coaching. Not offense. Not defense. NOTHING. Plus, NOBODY gave the Pats a shot that year. The Giants are actually being picked to WIN by some national media people and 64% of the public actually thinks the Gmen will at least cover the spread according to a popular gambling website I frequent.

Long-term I'd prefer Warren; however, I'd take Strahan right now. I'd take Burress over Stallworth any day. Sam Madison over Hobbs. Antonio Pierce over either Bruschi or Seau(They should be back-ups now)

It's hard to ignore Tuck and Osi, but it just so happens the Patriots have 3 pro-bowlers in their prime on the D-Line right now.

Ty Law
Lawyer Milloy
Willie McGinest
Tedy Bruschi

Adam Vin.... no can't finish the traitor's name
and so on....

Anyways, TALENT doesn't win football games, so the posters topic is irrelevant and I understand your point, just had to be that *******.

Osi Umenyiora over Warren.. And.. um.. I think I'd take a healthy Plaxico over Donte.. Umm.. Feagles? He's good at coffin corners, haha.

I see your point, no one is doubting that the Pats are way way better, and I think a blowout for the Pats is far more likely than a Giants win, but I'm not sure a close Pats win isn't the most likely outcome.
