I've been following Nate Solder for 7 years.

As none of you know, I am in the solder business. About 10 years ago I set up a Google Alert so that every time the word "solder" appeared in an online article, I would get an email with a link to it. I've done that to keep up with industry news. Works pretty well.

Starting about 7 years ago I would get an alert now and then about this kid named "Solder" and how he was doing in high school football. I would read some because of my interest in football. When he was getting recruited for college the articles increased, and then decreased again until he became a semi-star. The last couple of years I'd see one once every 2 weeks or so.

Then when the draft talk started kicking up I'd get more and more of these articles, up to several per day. It was actually getting a little annoying...

And then today!

I feel like I've followed this kid his entire career and now that he's on the Pats - feels awesome.

Needless to say, I'm getting a Solder jersey for me and my boss.

I know, cool story bro and BFD ... I'm just a little blown away now.

I should have known you'd stick to "business" and not hire on with Carimi's Kosher Cheese and Chicago Turnstyle Cutlery. :woot:

Soooooo...you're in the 'solder' bismuth eh? ;)

I think its was pretty brazing of you to make this draft pick so ego-centric.

Personally, I was sure we'd see Solder on the Steelers.

Anyway, I think you will agree that after rounds two and three we can look forward to this forum acetylene down.

Sorry.

:D

How cool is that! Nice to see you did not get any police blotter stuff on the kid, either. I wonder how quickly they'll start selling a "Solder" jersey, though?

Much too much, unfortunately. No kid dreams of getting into solder.
