Lockout Over: Securing A Quarterback
The lockout is over, unless it reinstated by the 8th Circuit.
Transaction rules will be announced tomorrow morning. One presumes that the owners know the rules now. Teams may be talking about trades today, even if transactions can't be finalized until Monday. So, it would seem that some teams may secure a working agreement for a QB today. |

1. Is this why we're seeing all the QB's getting round one love all of a sudden; teams now know they can get them a playbook straight away. 2. Is it possible that players can't be traded for picks in round one but can in rounds two to seven? That seems unlikely to me. |
Re: Lockout Over: Securing A Quarterback
Players could always get the playbook right away, from the players rather than the teams.

Re: Lockout Over: Securing A Quarterback
Teams were showing QBs 1st round love even before the 'stay' was denied. So I think you're just seeing teams desperate for QBs and hoping to sell tickets off the 'next franchise QB' they draft.

Yes, it is.
But it won't matter. Everyone will have playbooks by Sunday night from the team unless there is court action before then. Quote:
