Re: Kudos to Phil Rivers
Indeed. Lots of props to Rivers. I thought he was a weak-armed QB with no mechanics and no toughness. Well, he proved to be a moderately armed QB with no mechanics and alot of toughness. I don't think he's going to challenge for the crown anytime soon, but San Diego actually has a player on their hands, who's got at least the potential to be better than Drew Brees.

Re: Kudos to Phil Rivers
I agree - I dont think i'll ever like him - he just seems like such a punk, but he is tough as hell, and he came up huge in this game for the chargers - our D was comin after him play after play, and with two bad legs he made a lot of really good throws considering we didnt have to worry about LT and his main safety blanket Gates was hobbled with that toe injury.
Rivers came to play, he's earned my respect at least. |
Re: Kudos to Phil Rivers
I'll agree with the toughness part. But a descent QB, would have killed us today.

Re: Kudos to Phil Rivers
As much as I dislike Rivers and some of his antics, I have a lot more respect for him after today's game. That was pretty gutsy of him to not only start, but stay in the entire game. He made a few mistakes, but I don't think he was the reason for the Chargers loss.

Re: Kudos to Phil Rivers
I think the guy is a prick but he showed some guts today and I respect that. Meanwhile LT sat on the bench like a little *****.

Re: Kudos to Phil Rivers
Actually, I thought Rivers played well. Made some great throws. Didn't turn the ball over like Brady did.... And showed some real courage playing gimpy. After the game they had Castillo (roid head) on and he was talkign about what an effort Rivers made. Looks like Rivers is leading the team now. Better for the Chargers than being led by His Pussiness of the Sandy Vagina, LT.

Re: Kudos to Phil Rivers
Rivers did a great job and deserves credit. Gutsy to follow through on the impossible position his GM put him in.
