Arizona Senate passes "birther" bill
 
Is it me or has Arizona passed Florida as the wackiest State in the Union?

PHOENIX - The Arizona Senate has approved a bill requiring presidential candidates to prove they are U.S. citizens before they can be included on the state's ballot.

The bill approved Wednesday would make Arizona the first state to pass such legislation. Democrats say it exceeds the state's authority.

Under the bill, candidates who don't have a birth certificate could show two alternative documents, including a baptismal or circumcision certificate, a hospital birth record or a postpartum medical record.

The proposal was prompted by the claim that there is no proof President Barack Obama was born in the United States and is therefore ineligible to be president. Hawaii officials have certified Obama's birth in the state.

The bill goes to the House for a final vote.

I thought it was a four-way race between Maryland, New Jersey, Illinois, and South Carolina. Honorable mention to Arizona and Connecticut; they do try ever so hard.

What exactly is a baptismal certificate or a postpartum medical record? How do those things prove that someone was born in the USA? The circumcision one cracks me up as well.

So if I have I child in Canada, drive to the USA, and have my baby baptized and circumcised in Michigan that is enough proof for the kid to be a US Citizen in Arizona?

This bill makes it easier for people to break the law.

These people are a bunch of brain dead savages. I'd like to see one of them try to get a passport or a visa with a circumcision record.

As I mentioned in my prior post: Hospitals keep official records of circumcisions? Churches keep official records of baptisms? WTF?

Maybe in Zona they keep a record of circumcision, i think the church keeps records of baptisms.
