Well Harry based on the kids reaction to it this act of heroism didn't come too soon.

They knew! :eek:It's obvious the far right has succeeded in indoctrinating these kids....victims really, into their warped religious ceremonies designed to control thought. I just hope it isn't too late. Next thing you know they'll be looking under the holiday tree in December..........for,.....for..... Christmas presents:eek: Then who knows, some of them may actually become.......Republicans!

I think it's somewhat silly, yeah....and the words "Spring Spheres" isn't a very good phrase. Egg hunt would suffice without an identifier.

Having been raised a Catholic I'm very comfortable with the whole "easter egg/christmas tree" concepts - having come lately to another religion which does not believe in easter or christmas I'm less comfortable with it.

Had I had my children earlier in life, with a different spouse and in a different religion, they would not have been the kids right in the thick of the easter egg hunt or sitting on Santa's lap -they would have been the kids that other kids made fun of and the kids who were left out of the majority of holiday celebrations.

While I did not have those children, I feel for those children - and for their parents.

I'm big enough to want my kids to share their holiday parties and their social situations with all of their fellow Americans - and if it means that I can help them do so by calling Easter Eggs by another name and by saying "Happy Holidays," instead of "Merry Christmas," then I don't have a problem doing so.

You know what would be even better than 'egg hunt'? Easter Egg hunt, after all thats how it started, thats why kids are out there looking for the eggs in the first place.
