Seattle school renames Easter eggs 'Spring Spheres' - Seattle News - MyNorthwest.com Liberals like this should be put on big barges then towed out to sea and used for Navy Target Practice. :bricks: |

Having been raised a Catholic I'm very comfortable with the whole "easter egg/christmas tree" concepts - having come lately to another religion which does not believe in easter or christmas I'm less comfortable with it. Had I had my children earlier in life, with a different spouse and in a different religion, they would not have been the kids right in the thick of the easter egg hunt or sitting on Santa's lap -they would have been the kids that other kids made fun of and the kids who were left out of the majority of holiday celebrations. While I did not have those children, I feel for those children - and for their parents. I'm big enough to want my kids to share their holiday parties and their social situations with all of their fellow Americans - and if it means that I can help them do so by calling Easter Eggs by another name and by saying "Happy Holidays," instead of "Merry Christmas," then I don't have a problem doing so. |
