Libyan aircraft crashes after troops refuse bombing orders

The Libyan newspaper Quryna reported that two people were on board, and that both -- the pilot and co-pilot -- parachuted out, allowing the plane to crash into an uninhabited area west of Ajdabiya, 160 kilometers (100 miles) southwest of Benghazi. The newspaper cited military sources.

Not to make light, but it is a case of life imitating art. Anybody remember the opening scene of Arnold's movie, The Running Man? He's a pilot who refuses orders to fire on his own people who are rioting (for food IIRC)..........

Amazing.

So what should we do when the lunatic starts really slaughtering masses? Anyone? I don't really know if we should (or could) do anything. Where the hell is the EU and the OAS? Time for the Springboks to assert themselves?

You want the South African rugby team to assert themselves?

IMO the USA should not do anything with Libya. Let that clusterf&ck work itself out.

Agreed, tho, you know the CIA is over there and probably working a number of those other countries.

  That's the exact same thing I thought of.

All we need is for Richard Dawson to show some doctored footage that makes it look like those pilots did fire on the crowds and.... IT'S SHOWTIME!
