I don't remember where I read it but someone had some comments on turf at SB, here's why:

So despite all the marvels of expensive modern technology, what they really needed in order to provide decent footing for the SB was for America's Team to have at least made it through a round or two of the playoffs...so they wouldn't have been tempted to roll up the field. That's on Jerry...;)
