CAIRO—Egypt's military announced on national television it had stepped in to secure the country and promised protesters calling for President Hosni Mubarak's ouster that all their demands would soon be met. Mubarak planned a speech to the nation Thursday night, raising expectations he would step down or transfer his powers.

Mubarak had his palace surrounded by tankes, troops and barbed wire, he just said he isn't going anywhere, hes hitting the bunker. There must by AT Least 500K people in Tahrir square, maybe a million, this could get Very Ugly. The man is insane pissing that many people off.

Whatever game he's playing becomes more dangerous by the minute. I wonder if it was simply media hype which had him resigning or if he instigated the rumor himself for some twisted reason that only he understands. Perhaps they could have him certified legally insane and get rid of him that way? |
