You have to understand that Huck hasn't campaigned in NH. With so many viable candidates running on the GOP side, it's difficult for each to dedicate their resources to all of the early states. That's why you see different strats for each.


He might not which really illustrates a couple of things. First, that the GOP primary is unlike anything we've ever seen, and will probably not be decided for some time. Anyone who can predict who wins will be guessing. Romney could win MI, as could Huck or McCain. It's crazy. Second, is the fact that McCain doesn't do well with republicans, but does very well with independents. That's why NH went so well for him, and other states might not.

i fully understand that... but a dyed-in-the-wool God-Squader like Huckabee isn't gonna win, nor do nearly as well, in the Northeast... and he knows it... that likely explains why he didn't campaign up here...

maybe so...

but what's telling is the vote total turnouts on for the Dem candidates compared to the Repugs... in both states...

In the words of the Big O, you're making my point. Huckabee has/had little to no funds for his campaign. When you face issues like that, you have to decide where you're money will be best spent, and that's why he didn't spend any resources there. He still pulled in 12% (ongoing of course), without campaigning. Remember, there are a handfull of candidates on the repub side fighting for both money, and attention. That's more difficult than a heads up race on the Dem side (I guess 3 headed if u count Edwards).

I haven't seen any voter totals anywhere, but I believe Iowa always has a higher dem caucus turnout.

America will not vote for a guy named "Huckabee"

Especially the old "Union" part of America. ;)

Same with Giuliani ... way too mafia for the south.
Obama represents the best chance for a President whose name ends in a vowel.
