Rex says no trash talk this week - they like and respect the coach and QB

I bet it would have been a different story if the Steelers had laid a beat down against them a month ago

Don't expect the Jets to do any loudmouth trash talk stuff this week...they don't hate Pitt and seem to say all nice stuff about the Rapist QB

WTF really?

This is confusing and annoying at the same time. I mean we had to put up with it why shouldnt they? Is it because they feared us and not the steelers? Or is it because they hate us and respect them? Or maybe they are just scared of the Steelers?

The only thing I can say is hopefully they take themselves out of their own mental game. They have lived on this we are better than the world and we will prove it on sunday now all sudden they respect someone.

Simple. It is because the Steelers would talk back and not be punished for it.

Rex wanted a breakdown in NE Patriot discipline. He wanted to undermine BB and disrupt the order.

It looks like the 45-3 beatdown The Patriots really rubbed it in. I was at that game and saw a lot of trashtalking by the Pats - thats fine, right?...thats what every team does.

Brady must have pissed off the Jets with his trash talking and pointing. BB pissed of the Jets by continuing to score and show it down Rexs throat.

It seems personal between these two franchises of course, given their recent history. Ryan is out for blood though, with these comments and it seems like hes on a mission to destroy Brady and BB.

There must have been a lot of crap said during that 45-3 beatdown. Why else would these guys still be yapping and punking and clowning the pats?

oh yeah, add in the 100k fine the jets had to pay for westhoffs comments about the Patriots as well....

Simple, really:

1) Pats are the Jest biggest rival
2) The Pats beat the crap out of them 45-3
3) Pitt will punch them back - verbally and physically.
4) Rex wants Big Ben to lick his wife's feet while he and Tomlin watch

This is really the reason why I wanted Meriweather to lay the wood to Keller on that first Sanchez overthrow. Even though the team would have gotten 15 yards for it, it would have set the physical tone right off the bat in our favor in the game. It would have let the Jets know that we weren't coming out there to play paddy cake. Instead, we didn't really set a physical tone in the game and looked to be playing almost not to lose instead of playing to win.

Yeah, but then everyone on this board would just have one more reason to hate Meriweather.
