Michael Vick called himself 'co-MVP" of the NFL on Monday

Michael Vick is all about Michael Vick.

After losing the game on a interception on the final drive, all Vick had
to say on Sunday is that he went down swinging.

What about his team?

On Monday I was watching outside the lines on ESPN and that said "with
a smile" that Michael Vick called himself "co-MVP' of the NFL on Monday.

I have not seen this get any attention, so I googled it.

There is always the possibility that Vick will let the success, and the money, go to his head. On Monday he called himself the "co-MVP" of the NFL, which either shows a troubling disconnect with reality or just how much that award meant to him. Vick lost any shot at the MVP in Week 16 against Minnesota.
One and Done Michael Vick is no CO-MVP.
He is still Ron Mexico the dog killing Herpes carrier.

Anyone who thinks Vick has really changed...at all...is out of their freakin' gourds.

He must be learning from Favre.

Well at least he isn't claiming he's the leading candidate anymore.

Who gives a **** what he thinks? And who cares if he even gets the MVP award. Only thing I want to see is the Patriots winning the Superbowl.

These threads are just haters hating.

Jason La Canfora retweeted one of Vick's tweets after their loss to the Packers where he said something along the lines of if he play the game again he wouldn't change a thing. Surely not throwing a pick and actually winning the game would be a good thing to change? The man is an idiot and a scumbag

Was anyone here remotely surprised by

1. Vick's pass to a covered, possession, not particularly fast WR on the last play of the game

2. The fact that Vick, in the end, was only good enough to break Eagles' fans hearts

3. That he referred to such a dumbass pass as "going down swinging"; or

4. That he thinks he's remotely in the MVP discussion in a year when Brady will win by a country mile

None of these things should surprise anyone. Vick is a talented guy who just doesn't have the necessary "it" to lead an NFL team to a Super Bowl championship. I continue to think that he'd be a great gimmick, second or third string QB on the Pats, a guy who could be brought in for one play every 6-7 games just to give opposing OCs something to worry about. But that's all he is in my book.

To be clear, he's in my top 10 in QB talent. But he'll NEVER lead a team to a Lombardi (unless it's a field trip on Broadway).

The better part of me agrees with you, but there is that part of me that wants my Tommy to get what he deserves as well. He's clearly outplayed everyone and deserves to be recognized for it.

Whatever. Please keep in mind, Vick wasn't just a Guard at Animal Auschwitz. He was the Creator, Designer, Financial Sponsor, and Host. For many of us, this is much more important than football.
