I could see us facing Redskins in Super Bowl

If we're fortunate enough to get there after all this faux-perfect season celebration, I could see us facing an NFC team no one is talking about: The Washington Redskins.

After their loss to the Bills in the wake of the Taylor murder, they rattled off 4 straight victories against some decent teams:

- Bears who played better in 2nd half and were still in contention when Skins played them
- Giants with serious playoff implications at stake for them
- Vikings in a game that would likely determine which team went to the playoffs
- and in their last game of the season they outplayed Cowboys starters in the 1st half

They go on the road to play Seattle and I think this could be their toughest game. If their next game is against Dallas I could see them beating them. I also think their aggressive defense beats Packers too (see Bears 2 weeks ago @ Lambeau.)

Looking at the Skins team they have a lot of talent:

- Collins is an upgrade over injured Campbell
- Santana Moss has re-established himself as one of the league's big play threats with Collins
- Portis is the best all-around back in the league
- Skins are one of the few teams that effectively use a full back
- Williams defense is designed to pressure the passer
- they are playing inspired ball for their fallen team mate Sean Taylor

I'd still see us winning a rematch with them, although I think they're a better team than the one we whipped during regular season.

the only real obstacle that pats has is Colts. After Colts is eliminated, pats will win SB.

The wookie, Fred Smerlas, thinks that the Redskins will be a team to reckon with in the play-offs, but then again, what does he know - he predicted the Pats would be 16-0.

Portis the best back in the league? He's not even the best in his division, certainly not the best in the conference.

I'll be surprised if it's not GB or Dallas

I think both the Giants and Washington will win this weekend..

And San Diego and Pitt win in the AFC

It will come down to Indy vs the Pats... bottom line, after that

we will have 2 weeks of hearing wouldnt it be nice to see Brett Farve go out a winner...

just going by what several experts say about him being best "over all" back in the league when you consider running, blocking and receiving. Emmitt Smith said it, so did Madden. No matter if you place him "best" or "one of the best" over all doesn't really matter, point is they have a pretty good back that you'd want in the post -season

It is a possibility.

Especially, because there just is no great team in the minor league. Any NFC can emerge from the NFC tournament. Aside from a lack of depth that hurts for a 16 game season, the Skins are as sound as any NFC club and better than most.

if it ends up pats vs packers i'd love to see us get revenge on madden's love-interest for our super bowl loss to them

I have us playing Washington in the Superbowl. It also wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Bucs made it.

Anybody can beat anybody in the NFC.

boys, boys

i see no one who can play w the Cokeboys when they are on. which they will be. the Packers are pretenders. and the rest are the B team.

we better get emotionally ready for a frickin battle in Phoenix against a VERY GOOD team. (after having to beat the defending champ colts again) it wont be like playing the Grossman-led Bears, last year.

wishing for anything less, is just that, wishful thinking.
