Parcells, Dolphins will have decisions to make with top pick

Parcells has an interesting draft history and is known as a man who likes to wheel and deal in the lottery. Notable is that there is already speculation his former boss, Dallas owner Jerry Jones, may attempt to trade up in the draft for a shot at McFadden. The Cowboys have two picks, their own and the Cleveland Browns' choice, in the first round of the 2008 draft.

Generally having the top pick and an incredible number of needs I would say its' a no brainer but to try to trade down and address as many needs as possible.

But I think it's more and more accepted that long term success requires a franchise QB, and Parcells is going to need to address that one way or another.

If there's a QB out there that Parcells thinks can be that guy, he might not want to risk trading back too much and take the chance of missing out on him. While one might say gaining a QB via free agency is the better route, the Dolphins have a long history of striking out there too.
