Remember all those people who said we were crazy for honestly believing we would go 16-0? I wonder what they think now. I'm sure we just got "lucky" and our team isn't really 16-0 good...

With all the Revolutionary War paintings, why this week would you pick the one that depicts Washington retreating from New Jersey after a defeat ?

Hope you haven't jinxed us.

Re: 15-0

It is interesting that of the three teams going undefeated only the Dolphins went undefeated through out playoffs too.

Since it is so infrequent to go undefeated in the regular season, yet a SB winner happens EVERY YEAR, I think it is exceptional to go 16-0. Belichick is a football historian. He WANTS that 16-0, but would never say it.

Besides to go 19-0, you have to go 16-0, FIRST!

Belichick knows that he breaks their own record of 18 consecutive regular season victories if he beats the Giants, establishing the first and second times teams have done that in the History of the NFL. The Pats are the two teams. Further the Pats have scored the most points in the NFL and given up the fewest points. The Pats have set a 88 year record for biggest point differential of all time. Six more points and they will have scored more points than any team in the history of the NFL.

Besides if the Pats then go 19-0 they set an all time NEW 22 in a row consecutive victory streak, passing their own 21 consecutive victory record that has never been equaled in the 88 year history of the NFL.

Do it, and there is no question the PATS DYNASTY IS THE BEST DYNASTY IN THE HISTORY OF THE LEAGUE. THIS PARTICULAR TEAM WILL BE THE BEST TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF THE LEAGUE.

:D :D :D

Actually, you're history's a little off, and this is no jinx.

Washington (Belichick?) is crossing the Delaware into New Jersey here BEFORE a blowout victory in New Jersey. Better yet, there were NO INJURIES!

May history repeat.

Even if the Patriots were to go 19-0 this season, the 21 in a row would still be the longest consecutive winning streak including regular season and playoffs. As much as we all want to forget about January 21, 2007, it still happened.

You're from New Jersey and don't know the history behind the Battle of Trenton? Washington crossed the Delaware on Christmas Eve and attacked the Hessian garrison of Trenton who were all hungover from partying the night before, and forced virtually the whole garrison to surrender while taking no casualties. It was a big deal because Washington was getting his butt kicked pretty much everywhere until that battle. Actually, Washington won another battle at Trenton a year later, too, which set up the decisive victory at Princeton.

The First Battle of Trenton was really the first turning point of the Revolution. A year and a half later, Saratoga was the decisive turning point.
