How to beat the recession? Walmart!

I've gotta say, this freep blog is pretty spot on with this one.

It’s Christmas shopping time and Obama’s recession is making things miserable for everyone

One thing that would help lift the Obama burden Obama off of these folks ...
Not sure I'm following you there.

... would be the appearance of WalMart stores in New York’s neighborhoods, especially the poorest ones.
Ah yes, Walmart does help poor people after all, there's no question about that!

A new survey conducted for WalMart shows that by a 2 to 1 ratio New Yorkers love the chain and want its stores in their neighborhoods. This is bad news for union controlled Big Apple Democrats. WalMart is non union and will not cave on that point.
Can't we just murder all of these Democrats and unions? They're always getting in the way. Plus, blacks and hispanics love Walmart, and Walmart is not only going to add jobs to these neighborhoods, it is going to ease the pain of the recession on poor people. There won't be any associated decreases in small business activity or lowering of wages if Walmart is in the neighborhood! I mean, If Walmart moved into nearly every neighborhood it's pretty clear the recession would have been a lot less severe. Stupid Obama democrat unions. WalMart’s “Chicago Way” can beat union controlled Democrats in New York City

That site sucks.

Back to the issue at hand: if the majority of people in those New York neighborhoods work in retail you have a point. But since they don't how does having a store where goods are available at lower prices hurt the poor? :confused2:

I find it highly informative and illuminating. What is it with the elites who think they can tell me what to read?

I'm just trying to help the poor people, and this is the thanks I get?

Going on 6 years without buying anything from that poison palace. Thankfully, there are none in my county.

Have you forgotten that we right-wing stormtroopers hate the poor (among others)?

You're better than this. Pick up your game.

Well, most of us recognize the difference between 'hate' and 'exploit.'

Liberal propaganda. Jesus loves the poor, and so does the right. After all, the right helps make people poor!
