Going to my first game tomorrow, things I should know?

I'm curious about traditions I should know about at my first Gillette game.

For instance, is there something everyone shouts when the Pats get a first down, for instance? Any other local traditions I should know about?

For instance, when the Jets get a first down, should I throw a Jets fan out of the stadium for good luck?

One thing... It wont be as cold as you think. Everyone I'm sure has told you "you're gonna be so cold" Thats really not the case. If you layer up, have some beers, and enjoy the excitement, you don't really think about the cold until the walk from the stadium back to your car.

I went to the ravens playoff game last year. Highs in the mid 20s, and I was sweating on the walk over.

Make noise on Jets 1st down.
Make more noise on Jets 2nd down.
Make even more noise on Jets 3rd down.

Be silent on Pats 3rd down.

:)

You'll be prompted when to yell after a first down. Feel free to toss any Jesst fan in your area.

On first down you yell "First Down!" You'll get the gist.

Be loud and have fun!!

Unless you are in the fancy lower level seats where they actually have enough bathrooms I would not drink too much beer. In the cheap seats you will miss a good part of the game if you have to pee. The lines are awful. I have only 1 before the game.

They play the Cheers theme song and everyone sings along.

This year they have started to play a foghorn sound when they want the fans to get loud. It's the same noise they make at B's games when they score a goal. They also have these video clips they play on the scoreboard of Pats players telling you to make noise.

Traffic is going to suck tomorrow night with people leaving work and normal game traffic.

And if you're sitting up top, I'd highly suggest bringing warm clothes. It's supposed to be in the low 30s with 30 MPH winds.
