Amazing Stat

Patriots are first in the NFL in points scored by a pretty big margin too (more than 3.5 points a game) However, through 11 games the 2007 Pats outscored the 2010 Pats by 108 points, almost 10 a game.
Leading the NFL in points scored, the 2010 Pats would need to average 51.2 points per game the rest of the way to break the record that team set.

I really don't want to go back to that season. Even with all the records, it was a failure... topped off by Belichick's worst coached game of his career.

And one of the worst officiated games ever..

Very interesting. That will go up after this weeks game is added.
So according to Football Outsiders efficiency ratings this offense is better than any other than the 2007 Pats. I'm guessing their data goes back about 20 years since the oldest team included in top/bottom 10 is from 1993

I bet Bing will have it cached longer than Google does, if you search on steve scarnecchia linkedin

Apparently, he worked for Jets before the Patriots -- including at the time of Spygate.

What I don't understand is what the NFL job listed means.

I believe this is in the wrong thread...

Changed it for you

Besides if Hobbs had some help on that final play to Burress or one of our linemen was good enough to wrap up a wimpy Eli instead of letting him get away for the Tyree miracle catch,we would not be saying Belichick coached a bad game.

another amazing stat, while the team has been #1 in scoring, before the last game played (or was it before the colts game?), they had the 17th ranked offense in the league. I know the #1 in scoring statistic is attributed to ST and defense turnovers, but gee, that's still a surprise to me, even if it only represents yardage per game. I would have expected at least top 10.

Currently, they're ranked 12 in total offense (14 in passing and 16 in rushing). pretty darn balanced.

For comparison, last year the Saints finished the regular season being #1 in scoring while #20 in scoring against (we're #22). They were #1 on offense (we're #12) and #25 on defense (yardage per game) (we're #30).

I think if you discount d and st scores they are still #1
