I hate this. I'm sick of hearing the knee jerk reactions. Plain and simple, media personalities cannot look at a whole career and can only see the last game. Is Brady better than Manning? Maybe, but it's not because of yesterday alone.
In '07, almost every media figure said that Brady was a better quarterback than Manning. In '09, in the midst of a tough season by Brady (which was still great statistically), they voted for the better QB, and Manning won 22-7. If they had this vote today, Brady would win. Why? Because people only remember the last thing they saw. I think Brady is the greatest quarterback of all-time. Why? 104 wins 103 interceptions 242/103 TD/INT ratio. I don't need to add in the "clutch" argument. Statistically Brady is the best quarterback ever. If you want to get into intangibles, good luck in arguing for anyone other than Montana. |

Who cares what morons opine? Manning is a legit GOAT candidate although likely not. The fact that these 2 consistently good, winning QBs get to face each other continuously makes the 21st Century NFL the premier entertainment spectacle that we should all be thankful for experiencing.
Given the Pats mediocre at best initial 40 years, these are truly the best of times. Savor this next week building up to another epic battle. |
