I think the team was in total depression - Most people thought it was going to be a Redskins rout of Buffalo being the mother/wife of Sean asked the team to win all the remaining games yet they could not even pull this one off.

If it was depressing for those guys BEFORE the game,Imagine what its like right now and the way in which they lost to a very below average and beat up team in the final seconds pretty much ending all hopes of a wild card shot.

They came up flat and looked disinterested although the defense played adequately.

I can't see these guys wanting anything but to get this season over with and would not be surprised to see them lose most if not all the rest of their games.

Its kinda sad....:(

Joe Gibbs blew it. Calling consecutive timeouts making a 51 yard field goal a 36 yarder is moronic.

And he, yet again, played NOT TO LOSE. They, AGAIN, had a second half double digit lead, but Gibbs put the leash on the dogs...AGAIN.

Wow-I feel sorry for Jason Campbell. The guy's making strides, but Gibbs just doesn't have any trust in him.

Personally, Joe Gibbs is obsolete in this league. He needs to go back to NASCAR. The game has changed since he's won superbowls and he hasn't adapted. I've watched them enough this year to see that. The guy plays such a predictable and conservative brand of football that just doesn't win in this league today. He was a nostalgic hire, but I'm not sure if it was a wise one. The skins won't go anywhere with him driving the ship.

I guess they also did that Missing Man Formation (only 10 defensive players) for the Redskins first defensive play. I didn't see it, but I guess Buffalo ran it for 22-yards. Stupid to honor his memory by doing something like this in the middle of a game.

Not that play wasn't why they lost. But that they were thinking about the symbolism of a play more than winning is why they lost.

i watched the game on and i think it's hard to be judgemental about anything given what they thru. however, before today i held the following suspicions and nothing i saw changed that:

- campbell is not a good NFL QB. takes too long to get rid of the ball, and doesn't make good decisions under pressure
- their defensive coordinator greg william's is highly over rated. he blitz's way too much, making it easy for the offense to game plan. bills are not good at picking up the blitz but today they used mostly a blocking TE and their RBs were obviously well attuned to Blitz' pickup. Bills QB Edwards had plenty of time to throw into mostly man coverage.
- joe gibbs needs to retire. this team would have been better off keeping spurrier
