The Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority found that last year's costs for elective procedures such as chemical peels and other skin treatments were up $8 million over 2004's $1 million tab for cosmetic surgery. The procedures, provided under the teachers' union contract, accounted for 9 percent of the district's total spending on health benefits for employees and retirees, The Buffalo News reported Thursday. If you're born ugly...tough sh1t!! Why are taxpayers helping these vain people? I wonder if their insurance covers hair transplants. Is this why so many teachers seduce their students?:D |

all this kind of elective surgery should be out of pocket, this is absolute CRAP. And I'm a person who believes in universal coverage. If we ever move to a single payer system, this kind of stuff is OUT OF THE QUESTION. Its funny, when I talk to people who come from any other nation about the abuses in their Healthcare system, the don't ever point to this. They often say "Everyone is covered, so how can someone abuse the system?" we americans have found out a way to scam the system....wonderful. These people should be jailed. |
