If the Raiders release Lamont Jordan... [mergedx2]

I would like the pats to give him a shot. Apparantly he was injured, but then has been benched the past 2 weeks and they may (or may already have) activate Michael Bush.

Lamont has requested that he gets released and according to this article, the Raiders just might do it.

On this team, Lamont Jordan would have nothing to complain about and i think he could really help us out. He's talented and really could make an impact. His first season on a horrible oakland team was actually pretty good but last season sucked.

And if it wouldn't work out, it would be like Doug Gabriel last year, just cut him.

He'd have to get through waivers first. That being said, how many years does he have left on his contract?

Someone answered my ? above ^^^

Nice find, does he need to pass thru waivers or is he free to sign with any team?

I agree. Both Maroney and Faulk might be banged up. It is worth a shot and Moss could put in a good word for him. :)

Our running back depth worries me.

Raiders paid big money for Jordan in free agency. Damn, their front office SUCKS!

Maybe his salary will scare teams from claiming him and he will be free to shop his services.

We should sign him just so we can see his chainsaw celebration every week.

I've been thinking about this scenario for several weeks now. The problem, though, is if a team claims him, they're only on the hook for this year's salary, which isn't prohibitive. There's no way a team in the AFC is going to allow him to go to the Patriots.

The Raiders were in first place in the AFCW, and Jordan was leading the league in rushing. He got hurt, got benched, and I don't think the Raiders have won a game since. Very curious.

Lamont Jordan to be possibly be cut

Any possibility of him clearing waivers and coming to the Pats? I kinda doubt it with KC being thin at RB, unless the remainder of his contract is prohibitive.

Where are the Patriots in waiver priority? I would love bringing him in.
