http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bi...ry/210160.html key excerpt: What makes Brady different from most people, not just athletes, is that none of this incredible success goes to his head. He’s grounded in a Tiger Woods sort of way, unmoved by personal achievement, or at least unwilling to let on if he is. He deferred the credit for Sunday’s performance to his offensive line, which is typical of Brady, who once agreed to do commercials for a credit card company only after it agreed to put his trenchmen in the script. Contrast that with Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning, who lives on the island of commercial overexposure, his appearances so frequent you can’t help but wonder if his promotional schedule is equal in importance to his football. |

Re: Nobody's whining in Buffalo!! Just lots of Patriot love!!
I have never had a problem with the Bills fans, and what I saw on TV last night was that a lot of Bills fans sort of stuck around to watch the Pats.
The reason I say that is that the game was clearly decided by half time, and I just got the feeling that the Bills fans kind of understood that they where witnessing a part of NFL HISTORY. A team that will go down as the best ever, except amoung the haters. And I think Bills fans seemed to "Get It" a little last night. The fact is that they stuck around, in silence, on a cold night when the game was decided already and they had finished booing Loserman. Hey, maybe I am wrong. Just saying. |

It speaks most highly of Brady and the Patriots that they had to compete (and win) against the 2nd greatest QB in the game. Makes their achievements all that more remarkable. After all it's not like the over rated '72 Dolphins who played mostly losing teams. |

No I think you're right. Even some of the post game comments by the Bill's players seemed matter of fact, and that they respect the Pats and what they're doing. A refreshing change from the hysterical crybaby fans and media. I'll even use the "c" word and say that the Bills were a classy group last night, it couldn't have been easy but they were definitely standup men. |

Re: Nobody's whining in Buffalo!!
spacecrime, i love your point. buffalo is a football town. . The CFL get a lot of play up there. the fans know exectly what they're seeing.
they no longer have NBA or NHL teams, so they focus on the bills. i understand what BB/Braady had to say. to keep on playing shows respect for the opponent. but really i had a problem myself. keep playing, but the second string should have been in there from 42-7 on. i shut the game off and went to bed after 42-7. BTW the bills know about this from experience. they were subject to the NFL's greatest comeback. in a playoff game against earl campbell's houston oilers, bills were up 35-3 at the half and would up losing the game 38-35.
