Colts didn’t Beat Pats in AFCGC the Flu did!

Maybe this simple fact will keep the Colts trolls in one thread.

I still don't know why the Pats medical folks don't give these guys flu shots. Is there HGH in them?

No kidding, wasn’t this the second year in a row the flu ran through the locker room in the playoffs?

Because flu shots don't protect against 80% of the strains in any given flu season.

Getting a flu shot is a bit like insulating 20% of your house.

Furthermore, it's known that the flu shot has actually given people the flu on some occasions.

Do we know that they don't get flu shots? My family gets flu shots every year and until last year we avoided the flu. Last year they kids all got the flu (the wife and I escaped unharmed) but it was fairly mild...only 3 days of symptoms.

Flu shots seem to work pretty well but they are not perfect protection. And I believe the "you can get the flu from the flu shot" statement is inaccurate. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats get flu shots but have just been unlucky.

::groan::

The Pats had some bad luck in the playoffs in connection with their repeat travel.

Well, if they'd done better in the regular season, they wouldn't have HAD to travel as much in January.

So the Colts absolutely deserved their win.

----------------------------------

Where the flu becomes relevant is in projecting from that game to this one. The Pats and Colts were pretty evenly matched then. The Pats have subsequently had a HUGE net upgrade in healthy talent. The Colts are up much less, especially if Harrison is hobbled. (And yeah -- in early November almost EVERYBODY is up in healthy talent from the prior postseason.)

No excuses!!!
Plain and simple, we lost - - - they won!
They're the reigning champs until somebody else becomes the champs.
It sucks but deal with it!?!? :cool:
