I think we are starting to have the Michael Jordan/ Chicago Bulls effect: People used to just hate the Bulls, because no one else could beat em.

It has nothing to do with hate. It is completely objective.

You guys have a great passing game. We have a great pass defense. Sorry to break it to you but an upset here is very real.

The skins are not the best team in football, but they can play with the best teams in football.

The skins are dangerous.

In another year this scenerio might well occur. This current Pats

team is a team that is obsessed with winning and will not permit

a letdown.

I don't take any team lightly, on any given Sunday. In fact, this is a trap game, with the Pats possibly looking at the Colts game. I would love the Pats to win tomorrow, but actally it might not be so bad if they lost, would piss em off for the Colts game.

Except that NE has a potent running game with their starter back healthy, and a great defense. Washington has a poor offense.

Even if the great passing offense is offset by the great pass defense things are still heavily in NE's favor.

I'd argue it is not objective. Picking the best team to win every week is boring and unrewarding. Picking upsets is not. People will often overlook the obvious in order to be interesting or different.
