Welcome new forum participants
 

With the political season here, I thought maybe it was time to extend a welcome to some of the newest people in this forum: Wildo7, STFarmy, Stokes, not to mention people like fleabassist, PressCoverage and Fogbuster, who are relatively new at least in terms of being frequent posters. I'm probably leaving someone out, but it is always nice to have even more points of view here.

What I think we all have in common is that we get a rush out of debating the other side, even though we know we're not going to change many minds. What I find interesting about this group is that we've always had very even numbers of conservative and liberal-leaning participants. And, I won't give names, but for every angry liberal, there's an angry conservative. We have some sort of equilibrium, even with the newest participants. Maybe that says something about our country.

Welcome everyone! As you'll all see, if you haven't already, things in here can get both personal, and testy. Please don't let any one poster, or anyone's criticism or style, bother you personally. Afterall, this is a political forum, and it is the internet, so letting something affect you in REAL life isn't worth it. Take for example my beefs with Patters. I give the good ole chap a hard time daily, as he does in kind. Our political barbs don't mean I don't like Patters, or respect him immensely. Politics is like Yankees Redsox. It's war baby, but in the end we'd all enjoy a cold beer in each others company. :D So please, don't let some of the M&M's like myself bother you. We're all here to pass some time, enjoy some political banter, and inform ourselves through differing views. ;)

Let's level the playing field right now......... YOU ALL SUCK.

I'll agree with some of you some of the time, others at different times, but basically, if you remember.............. YOU ALL SUCK, we'll get along fine. :D
