Why would Maroney not make the trip? I don't think he was ever listed as anything more than questionable.

He may not play - if he's out they won't ship him to Cincy and back, better to let him rest up without the travel.

In the Herald it claims that Washington and Neal are/will be inactive, therefore, no mention of maroney = making the trip to Cincy,
