Super Bowl wins being questioned by opponents

By the Eagles:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...091301655.html

The Eagles lost the Super Bowl to the Patriots by three points to conclude the 2004 season. Safety Brian Dawkins said he doesn't know if the Patriots used improper tactics in that game, but he does question if what he regarded then as superb halftime adjustments by the New England coaches actually were something else.

"I was giving them a whole bunch of credit for making halftime adjustments. . . . It's troublesome," Dawkins said. "I don't know how different to say it -- it bothers me."

And the Panthers:

http://www.charlotte.com/sports/story/277261.html

"The allegations might be a little more serious to some of Fauria's new teammates. Some sources within the team's Bank of America Stadium facilities said there were rumblings that the Patriots might have filmed at least two of Carolina's practices in the week leading into the Super Bowl after the 2003 season."

Listen to the Brentson Buckner interview here:

Part one about 2 minues in

He says:"We worked on some stuff that Tom Brady had never seen and he called out exaclty what we were doing....he was calling out blitzes that we had never ran before......it makes you wonder about the knowledge Tom Brady had out there."

If you'd never run it before, how'd he know that signal was a blitz?
Maybe if you'd stop showing Blitz, he'd stop reading blitz, and thus stop calling blitz.

Putz.

Actually, they made their adjustments AFTER the FIRST QUARTER.

BTW-since then, their D has been exposed b/c of this glaring weakness-they OVERPURSUE. Not only are they vulnerable against the run, but many other teams now have gashed them successfully with the screen pass.

They have a WEAK secondary to begin with-having lived in New Orleans for years(they broadcasted alot of Panthers games), this was almost always a weakness that's continued to get exposed under Fox.

I dunno-for the most part, they mostly bring pressure with their front 4(rarely have I seen them blitz)-maybe it's b/c they're NOT a good blitzing team? Eh?

If you read the paragraph from the Charlotte paper(obviously not) there were rumblings that the Pats had taped 2 practices of the Panthers during the week.

This is getting rediculous-what's next? Dubya is wiretapping the Panthers' practice facility for terrorists?

They can petition the commish to replay all the SB's. Fair enough ? We know we can handily beat the Rams, Panthers, and Eagles of today.

This post I made earlier pretty much refutes the idea that the Pats were advantaged by halftime film analysis of opponents signals:

http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-...ad.php?t=61090

I probably should have titled it something more exciting since most people didn't bother to read it.
