PFT acknowledges that frenzied Pats rumour mill may be driven by resentment

One of the reasons I like PFT is that by and large when they screw up, Florio puts his hand in the air and acknowledges. He's not doing that about the Moss/Seymour situation, but he does admit that the speculation may be something other than well-informed.

Rumor Mill

That's their way of saying "we have no *****ing idea if there is a semblence of truth to any of this ***** but we're going to repeat it anyway".

I guess they can't win.

And as long as they repeat it under the headline of "Rumor Mill" that should be understood by readers.

I've heard the rumors of resentment are just rumors.

If it turns out to be true they'll win. They'll be sure to point it out several times.

Posters on here know more than Florio anyways. The only time he's right is when it's a bad thing about a team that isn't the Patriots and when it's a good thing about the Patriots. Forget the fact that his sources are far more numerous and well-informed than anyone on this board anyways.

100% correct, and I can't wait to read about which team Moss is going to play for now that he's been cut by the Patriots.

Anyone see this one? This flew under the radar I think.

"Harrison will miss the first four games of the 2007 regular season. We also think he's suddenly at risk of being released, even if doing so would draw a grievance. Harrison is due to earn $2 million in base salary in 2007."

Also the post on the Seymour thread with Holley saying he's comfortable saying the rumor is NOT true kind of got ignored too.
