The Last Two Spots

Well, one is for a #7 DL, Seymour's roster spot. I expect that we sign someone after Game One, so we do have to pay an entire year's salary.

Could the last spot is Samuel's, even though James could be cut when Samuel returns?

Or could the last spot is Harrison's, even though Baker could be cut when Harrison returns?

Or could James and Baker be competing for one last spot?

Another possibility is that we are scouring the cuts for that one additional player who could help the team, at ANY position.

I think Baker is just holding a spot. I think they like James's experience.

I think Asante will start the first game. Other than stamina, what does he need catch up on?

What does he lack right now that a rookie like Merriweather, who will probably see time in game one, brings to the table.

Once Harrison comes back, James will be gone also.

Samuel for Sunday's game and Vinnie Testaverde if their

claim for a cut player fails.

Will Samuel be ready for Game 1? Maybe..naybe not..and if he's not ready and will be inactive, why take up a spot on the 53. They can bring in a player if they like. A 7th DL?? Maybe esp if there are injuries to Warren and Wright..but I do wonder. The Harrison pot I really believe is Baker's..so ny guess is they are waiting to see what develops.

Begging the question,
Whom Does Asante Soon Bump Overboard?

Maybe he won't be ready for Game one..and they know that..so they will reevaluate after the Jets game..when the exemption expires..I believe Monday the 10th.
I think for now that makes the most sense...maybe other moves. I know everyone wants Samuel back, but has he even practiced with the team? No sense in activating him when he is not ready.
