Bam Childress
I love the guy. You can see, every play, just how hard he tries. Though his stature might work against him, I can't help but root for him to make the team in some fashion. He just seems awesome.

Re: Bam Childress
I think a lot of us love Bam, but the guy will not come close to making the team, IMO. He couldn't make the team LAST YEAR and we were as thin at WR as we'll ever be then. Is it possible he'll keep improving? Sure. Will he make it someday? I think that'd be swell. But I doubt it.

Re: Bam Childress
I know Bam and Cj Jones have little chance, but they both looked very good today (against scrubs) I wonder if we keep 6 WR could a couple of young players, who are cheap, have some upside and are good on special teams, would represent a better value than a 5 or 6 wr who doesn't have versatility and is more expensive?

Re: Bam Childress
I'd rather have Bam than Kelley Washington, the so called valuable special teamer.

Re: Bam Childress
I love watcing Bam play in the preseason. I doubt we'd see the same player in the regular season, against full time players. I could be proven wrong, but it is a longshot.
The question is, when Bam winds up one of the last 3-4 cuts, does he stick around the shadow roster in anticipation of a Novemver shortage of WRs, or does he go to a team like Houston, Tennessee or Minnesota where he just might be good to make a team as a #4 option? |
Re: Bam Childress
You keep 6wr for example, Jackson and Brown on PUP, Kight on IR (knee injury tonight). DO K Washington and Caldwell make more sesne as the #5 & 6 WR, than Childress and Jones?
I guess we'll find out when the cuts come in. |
Re: Bam Childress
I'll hate it if the Jets take Bam in the likelihood that we cut him. I could care less about Poteat but Bam is the man :(

I, too, am a member of the Bam fan club. He is just a likeable guy, and you can't help but root for the underdog with the great attitude.
Even with that being said, if Bam could not make the team last year, then there is just no hope for him in the near future. |
