Has Kevin Faulk surpassed Dave Meggett...
At this point, in terms of sheer value to the team in various roles, I think Kevin Faulk has gone beyond what Meggett meant to the Giants in the '80s.
Agree or disagree? |

People forget how good he was in college.
"Finished fourth in NCAA history and first in SEC history with 6,833 all-purpose yards ... SEC record was previously held by Georgia legend Hershel Walker " http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle...&ATCLID=301129 |
Re: Has Kevin Faulk surpassed Dave Meggett...
As someone who is a longtime Pats and G-men fan, I would agree that Faulk is a better runner and pass catcher. However, Meggett is a better STer as a return man for both punts and kickoffs. In his prime, DM just had an elusiveness that was unbelieveable. Faulk is close, but not quite at that level. Both are very good as it relates to picking up the blitz.
No question KF is 100 times better person. |

Re: Has Kevin Faulk surpassed Dave Meggett...
Dave Meggett was the all purpose, 3rd down, draw play running, screen recieving, blitz pickup, kick returning back of some mighty fine teams of the 90's, one of which even participated in a super bowl.
Kevin Faulk is the all purpose, 3rd down, draw play running, screen recieving, blitz pickup, kick returning back of The Team Of The 00's, the Dynasty that has won 3 Super Bowls and counting. Tell me which is greater. |
