Training camp and cameras

Hey guys,

Planning on my first trip to training camp this year and I'm wondering if there are any rules about camera equipment? I do some photography work on the side and have some higher level equipment at my disposal, just wondering if I'll get turned away if I show up with something that looks too "professional"

That's a good question considering the NFL's new video policy.

There's no security station or anything, so as long as you're not carrying an obvious video camera (there's a sign prohibiting them), you should be fine. Even if your camera has a video function (as mine does), they don't seem at all concerned at stopping the entrance of those.

As long as your cameras don't look like professional video cameras, you'll be fine.

cool, thanks guys.....

no video funcs on this camera body but it's hard to be inconspicious (sp?) with this thing due to it's size.

be weary of the Kraft family's gestapo. they might "take care of you" if you look suspicious. jk

The sign is large and I think it's obvious that they do not want video taken..pretty simply put. I know a few years ago I was there and there was someone with a video camera and they basically were pretty nice about it. he hadn't seen teh sign, did not know..and he put it away in his camera bag and that was it. MANY MANY have cameras...just NOT video.

I agree. There are a lot of people in the stands and on the knoll with pretty professional looking equipment. You should be fine.
