The quintessential example of why Bill O'Reilly is such a ****

what a pompous azz... ... as if the nation of france gives 2 runny terds about goofy Bill O'Reilly...

O’Reilly lifts boycott of France.

“In March 2003, Bill O’Reilly called on all Americans to boycott the use of French products because of France’s disagreement with the United States decision to invade Iraq… Through the years O’Reilly has claimed his boycott of France has cost the country “billions of dollars” (O’Reilly himself quoted that figure in the non-existent “Paris Business Review“).” But now that France has elected conservative Nicolas Sarkozy, the French can rest easy. O’Reilly said yesterday, “The Factor is lifting the boycott of France. However, ‘Boycott France’ bumper stickers do remain available on BillOReilly.com for nostalgia purposes, and you never know… we may have to re-impose it.“

and before you say it, no... he's only half-kidding around.... if that... but really, the funniest thing about O'Reilly is that he truly and honestly believes -- in his own mind -- he's not a d*** at all ...

'and that's a memo... '

Keep in mind that Chirac (the guy being replaced) is also a Conservative and has been in office since 1995. In fact the new guy was Interior Minister under Chirac up 'till like 6 months ago. So I'm at a loss to comprehend what Billy's so happy about. Lets say Cheney or Wolfowitz got elected in '08, would you really expect things to change?

Chirac was an A$s Hole conservative, he was a closet Liberal, he even looked like one.

We can live without France, who gives a *****.

France deserved it. Those hypocritical bastards were in the back pocket of Saddam for years. That is why he called for the boycott. I supppoted it as did many people. They didn't want a war with Iraq because it would have cut off their sugar daddy.

France didn't want war with Iraq for the same reason we never were willing to challenge Saudi Arabia. Like us, France acts in its own interests, and those few people who boycotted France and French products simply missed out on the wonderful wines, food, art, and history. Actually, during the boycott, imports from France increased, so most Americans weren't sheeple, and used common sense.

O'Reilly has claimed imports declined, but the only source he offered was the Paris Business Review, which apparently does not exist:

If you go to the parisbusinessreview website, it's clearly a fake site.

What a hack you are. Saudi Arabia should be boycotted as well. Do you have have similar sentiments for them? Do you buy into their fine foods and art? I guess evrything is ok with you as long as countries act in their own interests? Fukc France and their fine wines. Fukc Saudi Arabia and their terrorist supporting, women degrading ways.

Well, I certainly agree with should take a far tougher stand on the Saudis. As far as the French go, I love France, and may even retire there someday. As I've said many times before, it's the most American country in Europe (and I've been to many of the European countries). I have many of same disagreements with their leaders as I have with ours, but that's the nature of a true democracy. As far as how France behaves, like us, it does what's in its own self interest even when doing so is not ethical. We won't cut off our oil supply to get back at the Saudia or Venezualans anymore than France would have supported the war against one of its key suppliers, Iraq.
